Golf Performance and Rehabilitation

What is Golf Performance and Rehabilitation?

This program is all about the connection between your body and your swing, as Titleist calls it, "The Body Swing Connection." This program allows you the opportunity to work with our Doctor of Physical Therapy whom is also TPI certified (Titleist Performance Institute) in analyzing your swing. This is the perfect combination because as a physical therapist, they are trained to analyze body movement, assess dysfunctional movements and create solutions to improve the dysfunctional movements. In combination with the TPI training and certification our therapist is also trained to analyze your swing and then connect your body movement or lack of movement with your swing.

If you are already injured and this is keeping your from being able to play golf, our therapist will start with a physical therapy rehabilitation program to resolve your injury and then at the appropriate time will perform the Body Swing Assesment to help you return to golf and reduce risk of injury as well as help improve your golf swing and score.

Return to Golf from Injury

You may have an injury related to golf or it may be an injury from something else, but is keeping you from golfing.  Whether you golf 1 day a week or 7 days a week if you are passionate about golf, your goal is to get better and start golfing again.

In many cases physical therapy can be your best and most successful option for a timely return to your sport.  Our Physical Therapists can utilize manual therapy, dry needling, stretches and exercises to get you back on the course and feeling good when you return.

As part of your therapy program we can help you reach and exceed your goals of returning to golf by guiding you in sport specific  assessment, treatment and exercises.  If you have an injury and a golfer let us be part of your team and contact us to get started on your journey to recovery.

Swing Performance

For improving your swing and reducing injury, our program of both physical assessment and swing assessment, researched and designed by golf and medical specialist at Titleist Performance Institute will help you lower your golf score, improve consistency of your shot, and reduce risks of injury.

As you go through a screen/assessment, your golf swing will be analyzed through 2D video and you will also be run through a series of dynamic physical tests.   Your physical tests will be scored and you will receive a physical handicap to analyze your progress.

The physical assessment and the swing will then be compared for correlation between physical dysfunction and elements of your swing.  Our Therapist will then create a program for you to improve your physical function and lower your physical handicap  and connect it to your swing to help improve your golf game.

Is There a Perfect Swing

Individual golfers have different strength, flexibility, range of motion, and body builds so one should not expect everyone to have the same swing , but we can all have an efficient, powerful, and reproduceable swing that will lead to better and more consistent golf shots and lower scores.
